Our Scholarship Program
The Community Boating Program is committed to providing affordable sailing experiences and scholarships to our youth. Please email s[email protected] if you require any assistance with this process.
Eligibility
The Community Boating Program uses the United States Federal Poverty Level (FPL) to set our scholarship threshold. The FPL is determined annually and found here. Half Scholarships will be awarded to students 18 years of age or younger whose household incomes are equal or less than 200% of FPL. Full Scholarships will be awarded to students 18 years of age or younger whose household incomes are equal or less than 150% of FPL. Scholarships will be provided on a first come basis until the available funds are depleted.
Documentation
The Community Boating Program requires evidence of need to determine scholarship eligibility. Please provide one of the following documents in support of your scholarship application.
- Prior year’s tax return (preferred)
- Current Supplemental Security Income statement
- Apple Health – provide current Notice of Action letter
- EBT – provide current Notice of Action letter
- Public Housing Authority – provide a rent receipt
