First Sail Event for the LGBTQ Community
Celebrating Pride Month and our Love of Sailing at the same time. This event is a celebration of diversity, acceptance, and #FunOnTheWater as we create lasting connections in our vibrant community.
When: June 7, 2025
Where: Port Angeles Yacht Club - 1305 Marine Dr, Port Angeles, WA 98362
What: For those interested in learning how to sail, but not sure if you are ready for a full commitment. The First Sail Experience allows you to see first-hand why sailing is one of the most exhilarating activities on Earth! This unique on-the-water opportunity is designed to provide a memorable experience that will motivate newcomers to continue sailing. Participants will spend time on the water learning some key aspects of sailing plus we will have some off the water learning elements of boating (Navigation, Knots, Communication, etc).
This specific event is for those members of our community that are from the LGBTQ community to provide a safe and supportive environment to learn.
How do you participate?
Space is limited! We'll provide a morning and afternoon session. Registration will open later in February once final details are complete.
