High School Dinghy
This is for high school students in 9th grade or above and is open to any high school student in Clallam County. High School sailing has both a Fall and Spring season. No experience is needed to join, and we are expecting lots of new sailors this year. This team works hard learning and training to sail fast and is the best way to spend lots of time on the water. Our focus is on creating a supportive team environment and developing the tools needed for improvement. High school sailing is not segregated by gender, everyone competes together on a level playing field.
- Practices run Tuesday and Thursday 3:30-6:30 PM. In some cases
- Regular attendance is required to be on the team. Once your sailor is ready, travelling to regattas on weekends will also be a large part of being on this team.
- Students can earn their Varsity letters through Port Angeles high school, even though we are officially a 'club sport'
